Common Garage Door Issues: Dirty or Misaligned Sensors
In 2007, there were 1,610 reported injuries caused by non-professionals trying to fix their garage door themselves…
Dirty or Misaligned Sensors
This is usually the explanation for a door that reverses before it hits the floor, or that stops in the middle of operation. Sensors may need to be cleaned, adjusted or replaced if broken.
If your opener was installed prior to 1993, you may be missing out on a great safety feature. Photoelectric eyes have been required on all U.S. openers manufactured since 1993. Upgrade your garage door opener if it is an older model.
